George Clarke's new girlfriend gets 'blessing' from late husband's family after sad death

TV star George Clarke found love again with a new woman after splitting from his wife in February.

The Channel 4 Amazing Spaces star enjoyed a four-year marriage with his now estranged wife Katie Morgan-Jones before the pair decided to call it quits on their marriage earlier this year.

Since then, George has moved on with opera singer Florence Hvorostovsky.

In pictures obtained by The Sun, the smitten pair were seen holding hands as they enjoyed some quality time together in gorgeous Ibiza this week.

An onlooker who saw the couple living it up on island told the publication that the Channel 4 star looked 'really happy' after a turbulent couple of months following the breakdown of his marriage to Katie.

And George's new love has reportedly now received a blessing from her late husband's family as she embarks on a new romance with the Channel 4 star.

Opera singer Florence, who lives in London, was previously married to husband Dmitri, who was also an opera baritone, but he tragically passed away in 2017 after a long battle with brain cancer.

During their marriage, the lovebirds welcomed two children together - a 19-year-old son and a 15-year-old daughter.

Following the news of George's new romance with the opera singer, her children and her late husband's extended family have given their seal of approval as Florence moves on following her late husband's sad passing.

Since her husband's death, Florence has reportedly remained close with Dmitri's parents who live in Moscow - who have now said they support her decision to start dating again.

Speaking to Mail Online, Dmitri's cousin, Alexey Zarkhin, said the family are happy that Florence was finally moving on.

"We must understand that if a woman doesn't support her femininity, she would quite quickly turn into an old lady," he said.

"Nobody would be interested in her then - neither her children, nor anyone else.

"So however great was her late husband, and however much she loved him, we all - us all, her children, and the public - need a vibrant, lively, beautiful Florence."

Swiss opera singer Florence, 52, confirmed her romance with George, 48, when they were seen strolling hand in hand in Ibiza.
