Geordie stars tipped by bookies to appear on I'm A Celebrity

A raft of Geordie favourites have been tipped by bookmakers to appear on the next series of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.

It has been reported that the ITV show, presented by Ant and Dec, is still planned to go ahead despite the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Previously the North East has fared well with by Vicky Pattison and Scarlett Moffatt emerging as queens of the jungle.

And bookmakers seem convinced at least one North East star will make their way to camp - with Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer's name even being thrown into the mix.

Reports claim that the cast would be flown to Australia a fortnight ahead of the show beginning to allow them to enter quarantine before travelling on to the jungle.

The show, which would be going in to its 20th series, started in 2002 and is renowned for its so-called bushtucker trials - which see celebs forced to eat live insects and animal genitalia - among other vile concoctions.

Skybet has released odds for the North East stars.

Which Geordies are being tipped to enter the I'm A Celeb jungle?

Charlotte Crosby 10/1

Marnie Simpson - 12/1

Holly Hagan - 12/1

Chloe Ferry - 12/1

Sophie Kasaei - 14/1

Alan Shearer 16/1

But they are not the favourites.

Five male celebs are odds on to join the show.

Among them sporting legends Ricky Hatton and Paul Merson both offered at 1/3.

Strictly's AJ Pritchard is also among the frontrunners, as is Mark Labbett - better known as The Beast on ITV quiz show The Chase both listed at 4/6,

However, the bookies outright favourite is Mark Ian Hoyle - aka LadBaby, a popular YouTuber at 1/4.

Odds were correct as of 8pm on May 20.
