Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan reveals secret battle with bulimia

Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan has revealed that MTV producers had to step in after learning of her secret battle with bulimia, which was brought on by hurtful comments from online troll.

Holly, who was just 18 when she joined Geordie Shore as an original cast member ahead of its debut in 2011, has opened up a bout her three-year battle with the eating disorder after being called a "fat s**g" by online trolls.

She told the Daily Star: "I started to think, ‘I could eat those crisps because I can just be sick’ or, ‘I can have that takeaway because I will just be sick’.

"It became a really bad cycle. My teeth were going yellow and my throat was constantly burning. It was horrible.

"When you are called a fat s**g on the internet for 10 years you try and do anything you can to lose weight and make yourself thin."

"I felt like I had to find a way to stay thin and keep off the weight I had lost in between filming."

It was the Geordie Shore crew who intervened and got Middlesbrough-born reality star Holly the help she needed when they realise what was going on.

"They really took care of me and got me help," she added.
