Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle questions Gareth Southgate's tactics and team selection

Former Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle has laid into England manager Gareth Southgate's tactics and team selection after some uninspiring performances.

And Gaz, who first shot to fame in 2011 as an original cast member on Geordie Shore, has taken things further by suggesting something 'must have gone on behind the scenes' for Jadon Sancho not to have been given a proper chance to impress.

After a dull 0-0 draw against Scotland on Friday night, England were back in action at Wembley to take on the Czech Republic on Tuesday.

Things got off to a much brighter start in the Three Lions' final group game, with Raheem Sterling netting from close range after 12 minutes.

But, with England already through before kick off, the rest of the match proved to be pretty lacklustre, as some continued to argue that Southgate's side would be better drawing and finishing second in Group D to avoid tougher opposition in the next round.

Gaz, who now lives in Leeds with fiancée Emma McVey and their two children, delivered a damning critique of Southgate's managerial skills after the Scotland clash, taking to Twitter to blast: "1 of the most talented England teams in ages I feel like Southgate means well but at the same time hasn’t got a f***ing clue what he is doing tactically with these players... needs to take a risk and drop his favourite players... lets see what he does Tuesday."

And, then after watching England v Czech Republic, Gaz returned to Twitter and even tagged Jodan Sancho in his tweet as he posted: "Something has defo gone on behind the scenes actually feel sorry for @Sanchooo10 "

Both of the tweets sparked quite a reaction from his 2.2million Twitter followers. One responded: "Southgate is pretty stubborn, and that’s his ultimate downfall," and another told Gaz: "Might be waiting till bigger games…"

Sancho did end up coming on as a sub on Tuesday and, on a more positive note, Gaz commented: "Imagine we threw sancho and rashford in the mix as well tell you what he some team.... Grealish"

England now have to wait to find out who they will play in the knockouts but one two things that are confirmed are the fact they'll play their next game at Wembley and it'll be on Tuesday, June 29.
