Geordie Shore's Abbie Holborn reveals strict 'pulling' rules on show including passport checks

Geordie Shore cast member Abbie Holborn has revealed the strict rules in force for any members of the public hoping to 'hook up' with any stars of the MTV show.

The programme, which turns 10 next year, is known for its fair share of romantic liaisons on camera, but Abbie, who has now been on the show for four years, has told fans that actually getting an invite back to the Geordie Shore house isn't as straight forward as it might appear.

Abbie was put on the spot when one follower asked on Instagram Stories: “Is it true to bring a lad back to the g shore house they need a passport?”

And giving a candid response, Abbie, 23, replied: “YES, well more for the lads to bring lasses back, and if they don’t have their passport on them a member of the crew has to go to their house and pick it up, while we all wait in the mini bus so we can all enter the house together.

“That’s why we hate when anyone pulls cos it’s soo LONG.”

Abbie's Instagram post marries up with comments made by former Geordie Shore star turned MMA fighter Aaron Chalmers back in 2016.

Speaking to the Daily Star at the time, he said: "They have to have a passport for ID. And they’ve got to go and film a video to agree they are probably going to have sex.

“Then they have to sign a form. And then it takes them an hour or so to sober up before they can actually meet us.

“You don’t want to get caught out. You’d have some parent ringing up and complaining. That would be awful.”

Geordie Shore original Holly Hagan added: "It’s hard for the lads. They can’t just go out on to the dancefloor and chat to a girl. There are so many security issues. It’s a logistical nightmare!”
