Geordie Shore's Sophie Kasaei breaks down in tears over excruciating battle with endometriosis

Sophie Kaseai has opened up about her excruciating battle with endometriosis after it left her in severe pain last week.

Geordie Shore original Sophie revealed she'd been diagnosed with endometriosis - a long-term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes - back in March, telling her millions of Twitter followers: "I still don’t no (sic) too much about my condition but I promise I will learn more and help and support any other girls going through this."

And it was on social media that a tearful Sophie revealed just how much pain she was left in after it took hold last week while she was working out.

Breaking down, South Shields lass Sophie said: "Obviously anyone who suffers from endometriosis, like it's so painful.

"I've just done a PT session and I had to leave because the pain I've just felt driving home - honestly, I can't describe that pain.

"Like it's the most excruciating pain, like someone's got a knife and stabbing you in your ovaries. It's absolutely horrendous. I'm still shaking because it's just so painful."

Sophie said the coronavirus pandemic meant that receiving treatment for her condition has proved problematic and added: "I just want to talk about endometriosis because it's so painful when you're on your period.

"I'm usually all right in the month but when the time comes, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

"I just can't wait for this to be sorted. I can't wait for the Covid thing to be over because I can't live with this pain."
