Geordie Shore' star Holly Hagan has confronted an online troll in person for a new TV show.
Holly, one of the show's original cast members when it launched in 2011, has been open about the effect that online abuse has had on her over the years, with her being left devastated by some of the vile comments she's received on social media since being in the spotlight.
Currently on screen in the new series of Geordie Shore spin-off show Geordie OGs, Holly is an ambassador for anti-bullying charity Ditch The Label and in the wake of Jesy Nelson's 2019 Odd One Out documentary, where the Little Mix star revealed Katie Hopkins comments about left her rock bottom, Holly ranted at her, saying: "You made a girl want to take her own life @KTHopkins you have CHILDREN!!!! Little girls!!! Who might grow up not being a size 6!
"What will you do then? shame them into wanting to end their own lives?
"People like you MUST be held accountable and I will not stop until that happens"
And now Holly has come face-to-face with a troll who has tormented her with disgusting abuse.
Posting a teaser clip for the show on Twitter, which has since been deleted, the 27-year-old posted: "OMFGG that was intense...I'm sweating just watching the behind the scenes."
Her fans were quick to comment, with one replying: "Noone deserves to have to deal with what you went through and probably are still going through. But you're stronger now and it's been a pleasure to watch you over the years, even though I was a late starter to G.S. Amazing woman."
And another reacted: "Well Done @HollyGShore for keeping Calm during this. Because the stuff people say online is horrible and disgusting. You Handled the situation like a Boss."
It is not yet known when the show Holly was filming for will actually air, but the clip seen by ChronicleLive sees Holly and Geordie Shore pal Nathan Henry meet the troll in a nightclub before confronting him on the abuse he's subjected Holly to.
