Geordie Shore's Amelia Lily 'joins' S Club in shock career move revealed by talent agency

The new series of Geordie Shore might be over but one of its stars will soon be able to 'reach' new audiences after effectively joining S Club for a new act.

The fact former X Factor finalist Amelia was even on Geordie Shore was a big enough shock and she has been on screen in the show's 21st series, partying in Newcastle with the likes of Chloe Ferry, Nathan Henry and James Tindale.

But now she's made a career move that might even be more surprising than that after linking up with S Club 7 originals Tina Barrett and Bradley McIntosh.

Amelia's new role was confirmed by talent agency Fireproof Talent on their Instagram on Friday. Posting a picture of Tina, Bradley and Amelia, they posted: "S Club & Amelia Lily. All the S Club hits plus some vocals from Amelia and some of her very own hits. A brand new show available now!"

In a post shared by Tina on her Instagram story, Fireproof promise "a monster 45 minute show of S Club and Amelia hits."

S Club 7 first split after an emotional goodbye in 2003, before all seven members reunited for a huge arena tour in 2015.

In the 12 years between that and after, Tina and Bradley and fellow original Jo O'Meara performed as S Club and S Club Party at a number of events including Newcastle Pride.

But it looks like Jo has now quit touring too, to be replaced by Amelia, who had a top 3 hit to her name after X Factor with You Bring Me Joy reaching number 2 in 2012.

She followed that up with number 11 hit Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got) before going onto support Girls Aloud on their Ten Tour in 2013 and going into the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2017.
