Geordie Shore cast joined by their children as MTV show gets 'wholesome' rebrand for new series

In a huge departure from them downing shots on Newcastle's Diamond Strip, Geordie Shore stars have headed off on a big cast holiday along with their children.

It's now been 12 years since Geordie Shore launched on MTV, instantly becoming the channel's most talked about and most watched about UK show of all time and establishing a fanbase worldwide. The show made household names out of the likes of Charlotte Crosby, Gaz Beadle and Vicky Pattison and while Gaz and Vicky weren't part of Geordie Shore's big reunion last year, Charlotte was and joined by all of the other original cast members, including Sophie Kasaei, James Tindale, Holly Hagan and Jay Gardner.

They have all jetted off to the sunny and much hotter climes of Cyprus as filming continues on the programme's new series; shutting down talk that it could be facing the axe by MTV.

And, in a move that none of them would have imagined happening even just a few years ago, a number of the cast have taken their other halves and their children with them. Charlotte is on the group holiday with her boyfriend Jake Ankers and the couple's baby daughter Alba Jean, while co-star and newly wed Marnie Simpson jetted off to Cyprus with husband Casey Johnson and their two little boys.

Having filmed in Portugal for the reunion last year, Chantelle Connelly is back for the new series, taking to Instagram to show her on a flight next to her son Ricardo.

Mum to be Holly is there too, with her and husband Jacob Blyth who she married in front of Geordie Shore cameras last year, expecting a baby boy.

Other cast members who are filming in Cyprus include Chloe Ferry, Ricci Guarnaccio and Kyle Christie.
