Geordie Love Island winner Amber Gill opens up about her 'anxiety' in school and clash with teachers

Geordie Love Island winner Amber Gill has opened up about her "anxiety" during her schooldays.

Amber, 23, took part in an Instagram Q&A with her followers on Wednesday night.

Amber, from Whickham, revealed she was a "naughty but smart" pupil, reports Mirror Online.

She said: "I did not like school overall. I feel like from young I used to get anxiety going in. I didn't have many friends (I don't think) and I was super misunderstood.

"I was very naughty but smart."

Amber added: "Wanted to wear makeup and have a short skirt.

"Got put on ‘report’ once, can't remember why but wore the pink sheet in the top of my blazer like a badge of honour. Lol I was such a d**k and I love it."

Amber also revealed that a female teacher made a creepy comment about her looks before the 2019 Love Island champ developed her "attitude".

Moving onto the strange comment made by her teacher, she explained: "Before the attitude when I was just a cutie, one teacher said, 'She's a pretty young thing, she might get by on her looks'.

"Get by? She said get by… I'm not just 'getting by', I'm thriving."

Sharing more of her "traumatic" experiences from school, Amber felt "robbed" when she was put in what she felt was the wrong class by her teacher.

"I was also robbed when I got put in my year seven set by my year six teacher who had a vendetta against me for no reason (before I was naughty)," she told her 2.7 million followers.

"That woman put [me] in the second BOTTOM set??? Like on what planet do I go there. I ended up moving quickly. I think the highest class I got to was set three but it was too late, I was traumatised."

"I did have good points though. Wasn't all bad I promise," she concluded.
