Geoff Twentyman reveals how his Bristol Rovers career almost came to an end over his brother's wedding

It's part two of The Subs Bench exclusive interview with Bristol Rovers legend Geoff Twentyman.

The 60-year-old moved to the Gas in 1986 and has been synonymous with Bristol ever since.

He made over 250 appearances for Rovers in seven years at the club and is now the voice of sport on BBC Radio Bristol.

In the second half of the interview Richard Latham and Nigel Turner discuss the former centre back's broadcasting career including some controversial moments from his time at The Gas.

Twentyman discusses how his impressive feat of playing more than three seasons without missing a game came to an end in controversial fashion when he was refused permission to attend his brother's wedding.

But after a fall out with then manager Gerry Francis, Twentyman signed a new contract and returned next season to play an integral role in getting Bristol Rovers promoted.
