Nottingham Forest are gearing up for the return of Championship football as they prepare to resume their promotion push.
Sabri Lamouchi’s men will be playing in empty stadiums as they target a place in the Premier League, with the remaining games taking place behind closed doors due to the coronavirus crisis.
But, teaming up with Face Fan, the Reds have devised a way supporters can at least be there in spirit.
Fans can purchase a life-size cardboard cutout of themselves which will be printed out and placed in the City Ground stands, at a cost of £20 per board.
Forest have nine more matches left of the regular campaign, with the potential for play-off fixtures to come after that.
Five of those games are at home, against Huddersfield Town, Bristol City, Fulham, Swansea City and Stoke City.
The club say: “Forest fans may not be able to attend the crucial run-in, but you can still get behind the team by purchasing a cardboard cut-out to ensure you have a stadium presence.”
It's an initiative which has certainly got fans talking on social media.
Supporters can purchase their cutout by going to https://facefan.co.uk/nottinghamforest.
Fans will not be able to pick where their cutout is stationed in the ground.
It is said: “We’re going to fill one block at a time, starting with the lower tiers. We plan to favour camera-facing seats to enhance the atmosphere and allow you to spot yourself in the crowd.”
The Reds face a trip to Sheffield Wednesday for their first game back in action, a week on Saturday.
