UPDATE: Police confirmed at 10.59am on January 1 that Craig Powell had been located safe and well.
Police are appealing for information after a 31-year-old man went missing on New Year's Eve.
Craig Powell was last seen in Abertillery around 7pm on Tuesday and police say "his current whereabouts are unknown".
He is described as a 5ft 9ins tall with brown/blond hair and wearing glasses.
Police said he was wearing a black parka jacket with a fur hood, grey jogging bottoms, and Under Armour trainers at the time of his disappearance.
A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "There is genuine concern for his safety."
The police spokesman added: "If anyone has any information as to Craig’s whereabouts please could they respond to this post or contact Gwent Police on telephone number 101 quoting incident number 372 31/12/19."
