Gentle Ayrshire three-legged dog on the hunt for new home this spooky season

A boo-tiful three-legged gentle giant is seeking a fang-tastic new home this spooky season.

Billy is a one-year-old fawn white Saluki dog who has been in the care of Ayrshire and South West Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre for over 100 days.

Long-term resident Billy may only have three legs but this never holds him back, as he loves to play and run around.

And also gets very excited to meet new people and other dogs.

Scottish SPCA centre manager, Marion Hainey, said: “We hope it’s not ‘witchful’ thinking that we can find a loving home for Billy this Halloween.

“He is a ‘boo-tiful’, easy going Saluki hoping for a happy ‘howl-oween’ in his new forever home.

“Although Billy has lived with other dogs previously, he would not be able to be rehomed with another dog and he will also need to be muzzled while out on walks due to his sighthound instinct.

“When he is not out on his walks you will find him cosied up in his big snuggly bed.

“To help with his balance, Billy will need a raised feeder for his food and water bowls.

“He would absolutely love a big garden to have some freedom in, and would be best suited to an adult only home.

“Billy would make a ‘fangtastic’ companion and we are dying to find him a ‘fa-boo-lous’ new home.”

Anyone interested in rehoming Billy should apply via the Scottish SPCA website at: https://bit.ly/3Ci06dp
