A 69-year-old man died Saturday after a motorcycle he was driving rear-ended a car in west suburban Woodstock.

About 10:40 a.m. officers responded to calls of a crash involving a 2008 Toyota Corolla and a 2018 Harley-Davidson on Illinois Route 176 West of Dean Street, McHenry County police said.

An investigation found the Toyota had been pulling off to the side of the road to turn around when the Harley-Davidson rear-ended it, ejecting the rider from the motorcycle, police said.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital in serious condition but later died, police said. The driver of the Toyota, a 31-year-old Lisle woman, was not injured.

McHenry County police continue to investigate the crash.
