Man shares 'genius' hack for being able to see laptop screen when working outside

With temperatures soaring this week, you might decide to move your working from home set up outside into the garden to bask in the sun and enjoy the outdoors.

After all, who wouldn't want to get a nice tan whilst typing away?!

But there are just two little problems with taking your laptop outside into the sunshine - it could overheat and the screen will be hard to read in the bright light.

These issues could be solved by sitting under a parasol, but if you don't have one, fear not, one man has come up with a hilarious solution for you.

Tom Wood, Managing Director at Evans Denham previously shared his top tip on LinkedIn, where it went viral, garnering thousands of likes and comments.

And thanks to the heatwave, the life hack has been doing the rounds once again recently.

Tom suggests putting your laptop inside a cardboard box to shade it from the sun.

In his post, he wrote: "The latest in 'Work From Home Technology'.

"When you are working from home and want to enjoy the sunshine, yet can't see your laptop screen because of the sun!

"Get yourself the latest Technological breakthrough..... The Cardboard Box. I can top up my tan and workout side, without any issues. Get yours today..."

People loved the idea and told him so in the comments.

One person replied: "Genius if you're working from home!"

Another said: "Lifehack!"

A third proclaimed: "I gotta try it."

A different user was concerned about the laptop overheating in the sun, but Tom assured them he'd made slits in the side of the box for the fan.

Others said they'd been doing similar things at home but were using laundry baskets instead.
