Genius gadget means pregnant women can now shave their legs - and mums love it

There comes a certain point in pregnancy when even the simplest everyday tasks become impossible to do.

Tying your shoelaces, rolling over in bed in less than five minutes and shaving your legs - none of these are easy in your second and third trimester.

Of course, hair removal may not be top of your priority list when growing a sweet little human inside of you.

If you are still valiantly keeping up appearances, however, that gorgeous baby bump is something of an obstacle when trying to shave your legs.

But a new product hailed as a "game changer" has arrived, and it's garnered some glowing reviews from mums-to-be.

It's called the Giraffe, and the genius gadget is here to save you from your aches and pains.

The Giraffe Razor Extension Handle (Amazon)

At £23.20 ($29.99) plus shipping and import fees as it comes from the US, it's not mere pennies, but you can't put a price on saving your back.

The Giraffe is available on giraffebathandbody.com and it's described as follows: "Giraffe Bath & Body designed the Giraffe Razor Extension Handle specifically to assist women who were unable to shave their legs due to limitations in flexibility and mobility."

The Giraffe is described as being ideal for a range of situations and conditions - such as being in either your second or third trimester, where bending down becomes tricky.

"[...] as a result, some women just "give up" on shaving their legs entirely or resort to a caregiver or loved one to carry out this personal daily care routine."

It's already proved to be a hit with mums-to-be, with it selling out on Amazon.

One review on the online marketplace reads: "This helped me out big time! I'm currently pregnant and it was difficult to shave during the shower due to my growing belly.

"With the razor extender, it did not put any pressure on my back.

"If you're a pregnant woman, I highly recommend this product."

Another added: "I have had mine for over a year and do not know how I survived without it."

Even a bloke waded in, writing: "My wife and I just had our first child, so I bought this for her to shave her legs.

"She loves it! Baby is here now and she still continues to use it."

She's one lucky lady...
