Parents across Liverpool will be groaning later when they realise it's December 1 tomorrow and that means the elves are back.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the Elf on the Shelf phenomenon that has captured the imaginations of grown-up and kids alike, here's everything you need to know.
On December 1, the elves arrive usually with a letter or a gift to spy on your children and they fly back to the North Pole each night to report back to Santa on how well behaved they have been.
The idea is that grown-ups then pose the elves each night for the kids to discover the next morning.
And this year, people have been getting creative including one mum who has sorted out the first two weeks of the craze, by forcing her elf to self-isolate.
