'Genius' cleaning hack for metal tap build up using £1 kitchen item

People are only just finding out how to get rid of build up on their bathroom taps and shower's in seconds.

Build up of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand wash can be a pain to remove. Even when when you have cleaned your once shiny bathroom surfaces, it can feel almost impossible to get them back to how they were.

But one woman has shared a "genius" cleaning hack on TikTok that will get your metal taps looking shiny and new in seconds. The best thing about the hack is it's using something many people have in their cupboards.

The woman got a roll of baking paper out of her kitchen drawer before ripping off a piece and scrunching it into a ball. She then rubbed the baking paper over her bath taps, leaving them looking bright, shiny and new.

People rushed to the comments section to compliment the woman's cheap hack and call her "brilliant".

One commenter said: "This has been the bane of my life. Thank you!!"

Another added: "Come on this is brilliant."

A third woman said: "Working in retail I learned that's how you polish clothing racks" with a forth adding: "what the hell, why the hell?? That's genius."
