A super-savvy woman from Gloucester has explained how she makes breakfast muffins that "taste just like McDonald's" but cost a fraction of the price.
Jade-Sarah Churchill lives 10 miles from a McDonald's, so when she found herself craving one of their delicious breakfast muffins she had to get creative.
On a friend's recommendation she took herself off to Aldi and managed to pick up everything she needed to make them at home that costs far, far less than they do in store.
Posting her money-saving tip in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group , she wrote: "McDonald's breakfast for the whole family under a £5er.
"All from Aldi. Patties taste just like McDonald's."
To reconstruct the breakfast favourite at home, you’ll need soft white toasting muffins (42p for a pack of 4), Oakhurst Pork Patties (£1.39 for a pack of 6), eggs (£1.25 for 6) and - of course - a slice of cheese (£0.75 for a pack of 15).
To buy the lot costs just £3.81 - less than a single McMuffin meal in store - and you have enough for four McMuffins with patties, eggs and cheese to spare.
"The end result? A McMuffin masquerade so good we promise you won’t taste the difference," Aldi said in a starement.
If you fancy turning it into meal, you can also grab hash browns too, costing 69p for 750g.
