A generous Dubliner has offered free services to raise vital funds for businesses hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Portmarnock-man, Jonny O’Malley, who is the owner of GoRaffelIt.com, hopes to offer his raffle website services for free for small and medium sized businesses who may have suffered due to the crisis.
He said the idea came to him after he said businesses on social media requesting people to buy vouchers for their services.
He said: “[The platform] can be used by companies to run raffles in exchange for a product, service or voucher online.
“I’d noticed on social media a lot of small businesses requesting people buy vouchers for their services.
“I had also noticed a huge amount of closed for business posts too. Basically post after post was COVID-19 related and mostly closure notices. I felt that my platform would be a good way for people to raffle these vouchers and at the same time have fun with their social media followers while a lot of us are at home.
“By this hopefully I’m helping in a small way keeping some business going until this all blows over.”
He added: “Anyone interested and would like to run a raffle for their business can email jonny@goraffleit.com and we can explain how it works and get you setup, this service and your raffle will be provided for free and you will receive 100% of your raffle goal amount.”
