General election polls tracker: Tory lead still in double figures as Labour lags behind

The Tories have maintained a 12-point lead over Labour with Jeremy Corbyn's party still lagging behind ahead of the general election, according to a seven-day average of polls.

The round-up puts Boris Johnson's Conservative Party at 43 per cent, with Labour in second on 31.

Meanwhile the Lib Dems are set for 15 per cent, Brexit Party 4 and the Green's three.

The figures, compiled by PA Media, come the day after voting registration closed ahead of the vote on December 12.

Stats showed more than 100,000 people were registering every 24 hours for the last nine days.

On Wednesday, Labour leader Labour figurehead Mr Corbyn claimed documents obtained by his party confirm the NHS would be on the table in post-Brexit trade talks with the US under a Tory government.

Mr Corbyn revealed 451-pages of "unredacted" information today and said it showed a "very different version of events" to details officially released by the Government.

However, this has been widely refuted by the Conservatives.

Meanwhile, Mr Corbyn has faced further criticism over anti-Semitism, having refused to apologise for his party's struggles to tackle the issue within its ranks.
