Jo Swinson has blasted Boris Johnson in an attack on the PM in the run up to the December 12 general election.
She accused him of “Etonian entitlement” and of dragging the office of Prime Minister "through the mud" in a damning speech in London today.
Ms Swinson’s comments follow the results of a major poll which suggested several newly converted Lib Dem MPs are set to lose their seats, while the prime minister is on course to win a comfortable majority in next month’s general election, the poll showed.
This evening, Ms Swinson will join fellow party leaders Jeremy Corbyn, Nicola Sturgeon, Adam Price and Sian Berry in a televised climate change debate. Mr Johnson is rumoured to be skipping the Channel 4 showdown.
