Nigel Farage called on the Tories to form a "Leave alliance" as he launched his party's election campaign today.
The Brexit Party leader said he felt the Conservatives could obtain a large majority by doing so and that he then felt this could push through a departure from the EU he would support.
It comes after Donald Trump urged Mr Farage and Boris Johnson to team up, while number 10 was also forced to defend the Government's Brexit deal after Mr Trump said it would make trade between the US and Britain difficult.
Meanwhile, the mounting number of defections mounted as former Tory MP Antoinette Sandbach joined the Liberal Democrats, bringing their number of MPs to 20.
