Polling stations will throughout Thursday be packed with people casting their vote in what has been dubbed 'the Brexit election' – and is widely recognised as one of the most crucial votes in years.
More than 140 polling stations will be in use across Edinburgh, with dozens of primary schools among the places being forced to shut to make way for voters.
While many people choose to vote by post these days, voting in person at your local polling station is still the most popular method.
If you are registered to vote you will have received your polling card through the door by now. And to have your say you'll need to head to the station outlined on your card some time between 7am and 10pm on Thursday.
If you're stuck in a queue outside the station at the moment the clock strikes 10pm you'll still be allowed in to vote – so they're giving you every chance.
When you're in you'll likely be shown to a little booth, and all you need to do is mark an X against the name of the candidate you'd like to vote for on the ballot paper – and that's it.
Anyone aged 18 and over can vote, so long as they are registered as a British citizen or are a qualifying citizen of the Commonwealth of Republic of Ireland.
