General Election 2019: Nottingham South constituency candidate list

Nottingham South has been a safe Labour seat since 1992, and Lilian Greenwood will be hoping to win her fourth general election in a row here this time round.

At the last election, Labour won a majority of 15,162 votes, on a turnout of 62.4 percent.

This made it the third-most safe seat in Nottinghamshire.

The Conservatives came in second, with fewer than half the votes won by Labour.

Geographically, it covers an almost-exclusively urban area, with a broad spread of demographics.

It includes relatively-affluent areas like The Park and Wollaton, as well as areas with higher-than-average deprivation, such as The Meadows and Aspley.

In the EU referendum, Nottingham as a whole voted narrowly to leave, by 50.8 percent.

Final candidate list:

Lilian Greenwood, Labour

Barry Holliday, Liberal Democrat

John Lawson, Brexit Party

Marc Nykolyszyn, Conservative

Cath Sutherland, Green Party
