General Election 2019: Anybody who votes can get a FREE pint - this is how

All this election talk is enough to drive anybody to drink

However, one pub chain is offering a free pint to every voter.

Craft beer giant Brewdog, which has a bar in Dean Street, is behind the first-quenching promotion.

Voters simply have to turn up at their nearest Brewdog venue with proof they have voted and they will be served a pint of Punk IPA.

The offer is only valid on December 12.

That is the date Britain will head to the polls after MPs voted to stage a General Election.

The rise of the North Tyneside micropub

PM Boris Johnson pushed for the election to help "get Brexit done".

However Brewdog's offer is open to everyone - regardless of political affiliation.

Announcing the gesture via Instagram, the Scottish firm posted: "We are going to give a free pint of Punk IPA to every voter - no matter who you voted for."

Proof can include a polling card or a selfie outside a polling station.
