General Election 2019: All you need to know about BBC Question Time special with party leaders

Party leaders will be put through their paces in a live TV broadcast for the second time this week.

Prime minister Boris Johnson and opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn battled it out in the first TV debate of the election campaign on Tuesday night on ITV - and now they will be grilled by a studio audience, along with two other party leaders.

The BBC's Question Time Leaders Special will be broadcast from 7pm on BBC One tonight (Friday, November 22).

Each of the four main party leaders will be given 30 minutes each to debate with a studio audience.

As well as Conservative leader Boris Johnson and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, the BBC special will see the Liberal Democrats' Jo Swinson and the Scottish National Party's Nicola Sturgeon take on questions from the general public.

The special edition of the political panel show will be presented by Fiona Bruce and is being broadcast live from Sheffield.

It will be going out live on BBC One, online on the BBC iPlayer and on Radio 5 Live.

The Green Party and the Brexit Party, led by ex-UKIP leader Nigel Farage, will not be involved in tonight's show.

Instead, they will take part in a similar show for more minor political parties in another Question Time special.
