Gender stereotyping in the Guardian

'Surely men are interested in how their children are educated?' Photograph: Christopher Thomond for the Guardian

Laura Bates says that gender stereotypes are not only passed on at school but also proliferate on TV, in books, magazines etc. The Guardian sets an example of this by printing the article about gender bias in schools in your so-called Women section of G2 (School for sexism, 24 February). Surely men are interested in how their children are educated? If only the Guardian could take Laura’s advice and restrain itself from passing its own inherited assumptions on to its readers.
