Gemma Owen 'takes aim at Molly-Mae' after signing six-figure deal with Pretty Little Thing

Gemma Owen appeared to take aim at Molly-Mae Hague as she discussed her new clothing range with Pretty Little Thing.

Love Island finalist Gemma, 19, signed a six-figure deal with Pretty Little Thing after leaving the villa earlier this year.

Gemma's move comes after 23-year-old Molly-Mae, who is expecting her first child with beau Tommy Fury, was announced as the fast fashion brand's creative director last year.

With Gemma's signing to the brand and her launching her own YouTube channel, some comparisons could be drawn between Michael Owen's daughter and influencer Molly-Mae.

But, Gemma appeared to take aim at the blonde beauty as she highlighted how they were "completely different people" in a recent interview.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Gemma said: "I think my style is timeless and in the moment.

"I think my edit is mine, it's true to me and what I am."

She then appeared to make a dig at Molly-Mae as she added: "I think obviously, I've got a lot of respect for Molly-Mae, and she's an inspiration to a lot of girls.

"But I think we are completely different people, I like to think I’m unique. I think my style is timeless."

It comes after Gemma and her boyfriend Luca Bish, who she met in the Love Island villa, revealed they have no plans to move in together yet.

Gemma revealed during an appearance at the People's Pet Awards in London yesterday that the pair have no plans to follow in the footsteps of co-stars Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page by taking things to the next step by moving in together.

Speaking on the red carpet of the event, she said: "I think at the moment we're pretty happy with how things are going. Obviously, we're making it work.

"But I think in the future it's definitely on the cards. We'll just see how it goes," she teased.

Meanwhile Gemma recently admitted she's not ready to leave her family home and lived with Luca, who was recently seen reacting as Gemma embraced a male pal.

Speaking to the Mail Online, the 19-year-old said: "We don't have any plans to move into together just yet, I'm a home girl, it's where everything is, I'm family orientated and I'm still young.

"In the immediate future I'm happy with where I am, and the setup Luca and I have.

"We are everywhere right now, when I'm down in London working, we spend time with each other and when we have a free weekend, he'll join me in Cheshire and be with the horses. We're making it work around our busy schedules."

Gemma and Luca aren't the only stars from the latest series of the show to stall moving in together as Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti are yet to find a love nest, too.

The pair announced plans to move in together shortly after winning the series but Ekin-Su, 28, recently said it was 'dangerous' to move in together too quickly.

Speaking to MailOnline, Ekin-Su explained: "Do you know what I've not had time to ring my mum so I haven't had time to look on moving websites, but I believe we should never rush moving in, I think it's dangerous for anything relationship. I think we will move in when the time is right. Without pressure."
