Love Island stars Gemma Owen and Luca Bish have anounced that they have split up, with the former couple's relationship having ended after just a few months together.
Gemma, 19 - who met Luca, 23, on the latest series of the ITV2 show over the summer - shared the news of their break-up in a post on her Instagram Story earlier.
In a statement issued on the platform, Gemma revealed: "To all my followers, I wanted to let you know that Luca and I are no longer in a relationship.
"It wasn't an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for both of us right now.
"Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and I want to thank you for your continued support as we start new chapters."

Luca has since issued his own statement, which was provided exclusively to the Mirror this evening.
He said: "Switched my phone back on after taking some time out to clear my head after an emotional afternoon to thousands of messages and news articles about my breakup.
"I would have liked some time to process this privately but as you all already now know sadly Gemma and I made the mutual decision earlier today to go our separate ways.
"We have been on such a journey together and have made some amazing memories which I will treasure. I can't thank everyone enough for their support for us as a couple during and after Love Island.
"We will remain good friends and I wish nothing but the best for her."
The former couple were runners-up on the latest series of Love Island. They developed a romance and had their fair share of drama whilst living together in the villa.

They went official with their relationship in August, following the experience. Luca organised a special proposal in which he asked the equestrian to be his girlfriend.
It included roses, candles, balloons, rose petals and even a cellist. Gemma - who's the daughter of Michael Owen - posted about it on Instagram at the time.
Confirming the relationship news at the time, she wrote: "Finally official. Thank you @lucabish for such a special night!" The reality TV star included a heart emoji in her post.
There was recent speculation of a 'showmance' between Gemma and Luca. A source close to them however had dismissed the suggestion, saying they were "closer than ever".

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror last month, the source said: "Luca and Gemma are closer than ever. They don't feel the need to ham it up on social media every day."
They added: "Both have lots going on but they're staying together most nights and when they do have to be apart, they are constantly on the phone with each other."
