Gemma O'Doherty led protest group continues crusade against coronavirus lockdown in Clontarf

A protest group led by Gemma O'Doherty and John Waters continued its crusade against the coronavirus lockdown in Clontarf today.

The group, which at its busiest had around 100 people, crowded around the wooden bridge which was closed off to traffic.

They did not appear to be following social distancing guidelines, as local photographer Jerry Murphy's images show.

Dublin Live understands that a number of complaints were made by locals throughout the day to gardai.

The crowd carried a number of handmade anti-vaccine banners.

Last week, the High Court dismissed John Waters and Gemma O'Doherty's legal challenge against laws introduced by the State due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The judge said that their claims were not arguable and the court could not grant them permission to have their challenge determined at a full hearing.

O'Doherty has left decent people dumbfounded after a string of cringe-worthy videos she posted on her social media channels in recent months.

In one particularly disingenuous clip, she goes into a Halal butcher shop in north Dublin and asks for pork, knowing full well that Muslims don't eat pig meat.

In a more recent live video, she tries to antagonise gardai out trying to do enforce social-distancing measures designed to keep us all safe.
