Gemma Collins 'will have a surrogate because she doesn't want to put on weight'

Gemma Collins has been very vocal about wanting to have a baby in recent months.

Now it's claimed the reality television personality, 38, has plans to have a surrogate because she is scared of putting the weight back on during pregnancy.

The former TOWIE star has been swamped with compliments after losing three stone thanks to £250 skinny jab injections as well as a healthier diet and exercise.

However, it's reported Gemma now has fears of regaining the pounds if she was to try for a baby in upcoming months.

A source told Closer magazine : "Gemma's loving all the attention she's getting from her weight loss, gushing about how Arg couldn't keep his hands off her.

"She wants to try for a baby now, but she's petrified about ballooning and gaining back the weight during a pregnancy and says at least with surrogacy she wouldn't ruin all her hard work.

"Gemma's career is at an all-time high and she's worried about how pregnancy could affect her success."

The Mirror have approached Gemma Collins' representatives for comment.

It comes shortly after Gemma made the sad confession she may never become a mum.

Speaking on her podcast, the TV sensation compared herself to Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston as she pondered whether she was ready for motherhood.

She said: "It's nice to play mum sometimes. I'm definitely definitely getting older. I would like a child.

"Sometimes I think, should I have a kid? Should I have a child? I don't know. I've got so many of my friends' children that love me, these kids.

"I mean, I'm not just saying it, they love me. I love them because I get to hand them back and I get a peaceful night's sleep."

Gemma took a leaf out of the Friends star's book as she said she has come to terms with being content on not having kids.

The GC lauded Jennifer's iconic interview as the "best statement" she had ever heard.

She continued: "The argument I kind of have with myself about kids is oh god it's a huge responsibility, am I still a kid myself? That's what I battle with.

"Then it's like no, I'm 38, but Jennifer Aniston said 'Just because I haven't got kids that doesn't define me as I woman.'

"That was the best statement I've heard my whole life because thats what I regularly say to people now."
