Gemma Collins sobs as death threats are read out in Life Stories chat with Piers Morgan

Gemma Collins broke down in tears over cruel death threats she received from trolls.

Emotional Gemma, 40, tackled the topic in an advance clip from her Life Stories chat with Piers Morgan which will air on Thursday.

It's been a tough few months in the spotlight for Gemma as she first split from her now on-again boyfriend James Argent and then saw her parents battle Covid-19.

In the heartbreaking interview, the former TOWIE star shed some light on the "downside to fame" including both death threats and trolling.

However, the bubbly blonde insisted she was "more comfortable" in her own skin now.

Gemma told Piers: "It's hard to watch. You don't forget it but, that's the downside to fame. I'm a lot more comfortable now in my own skin."

"I've got no problem with criticism of people, especially high profile people, you're a celebrity who courts publicity, you're a public figure, a politician, whatever you may be.

"But this kind of, 'I want you dead' stuff is, it has no place in public discourse."

Gemma shared a shortened version of the clip on her Instagram.

She wrote: "The highs and lows of the GC rollercoaster!! Guys this was a PINCH myself moment when I got to sit down with @piersmorgan and do Life Stories!

"Wow wow wow. This Thursday at 9pm on @ITV. x @piersmorgan thank you for being so wonderful it was a very healing process for me x."
