Gemma Collins has downplayed any thoughts of a romance being rekindled with her ex-fiancé Rami Hawash by saying the pair were “just having some fun”.
The pair were engaged to be married in 2013 but never made it to the ceremony as they split a year later.
The 40-year-old former The Only Way Is Essex star briefly reconciled with Rami, 45, in 2017, and even started wearing her engagement ring again, but they both went back in to the friend zone after deciding there was no romance between them.
They have now been pictured hugging and cosying up to each other earlier this month and fans were wondering if their romance was on again at a third time of asking.
The reality star has poured cold water on those hopes by saying that their relationship is "nothing serious" and that she is "just having some fun."
Speaking to The Sun, Gemma said: "We’re not properly dating, we’re not getting married.
"We’re just friends and we occasionally go out for dinner. It isn’t serious, it’s fun."
She went on to say that Rami has been a "great support" during difficult times in Gemma's life, after they struck up a friendship again following her split from James 'Arg' Argent.
This comes at a time when Gemma is looking to transform her £1.3million pad into the ‘Buckingham Palace’ of Essex.
It’s rumoured that the GC has already got the ball rolling on her plans as she’s roped in the help of her longtime friend and Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward to help inspire Gemma with some of the décor.
Dawn, who owns interior design company Arista Design, is believed to be gearing up to add her creative eye to Gemma’s dream plans.
Lifting the lid on Gemma’s palace renovations, a source close to Dawn told The Sun : “Dawn’s designs are jaw-dropping and life-changing. She’s going to make Gemma’s house the Buckingham Palace of Essex.
"It is going to be off the scale when she and her team have finished the work. Even the GC will be lost for words."
