Gemma Collins says Instagram is a 'load of nonsense' and tells fans to 'get off phones'

Gemma Collins has insisted that Instagram is nothing but a ‘load of nonsense'.

The Diva Forever star, 40, has changed her perception on social media in recent months and has started to realise that most content that influencers post is ‘fake’.

The GC, who moved into her dream ‘forever home’ last month encouraged her fans to get off the gram, and instead, focus on being present in her latest instalment of The Gemma Collins Podcast.

Lifting the lid on her new-found sense of confidence, the reality TV icon told her listeners that she’s been feeling a lot lighter since cutting down the amount of time she spends on social media, and Instagram in particular.

The blonde beauty, who has been incredibly open about her spirituality and manifestation beliefs in recent years, explained that she’s on a ‘higher vibration’ since realising that social media isn’t ‘real life’.

Gemma said: “When we are with people this year, we should get off our phones.

“We should forget the Gram. It's a load of nonsense.

“You want to be present to be in the moment, you definitely don't want to be wasting tie scrolling through your phone. That's sort of my vibration this week.”

During the candid episode, the former TOWIE star also insisted that everyone on social media has started to look the same due to the new ‘obsession’ with cosmetic surgery and fillers.

The GC encouraged her adoring listeners to embrace their natural beauty and their God-given looks in a world where looking like a Kardashian is society’s beauty standard.

“I just think it’s so sad that we have all started to look the same because of fillers and surgery,” she shared in the honest chat.

The GC opened up about how she ditched the fillers for a more natural look (Instagram)

“I even fell into it myself, and I consider myself as a strong woman. But I got all my fillers dissolved because I looked in the mirror one day and I didn’t even recognise myself.

“This year, let's embrace our natural beauty and our genes. Because we are all beautiful in our own ways.”
