Gemma Collins lays into Hollywood superstar Renée Zellweger as she attacks her 'transformed' face

Gemma Collins has waged war against Hollywood superstar Renée Zellweger.

The GC, of TOWIE fame, took a swipe at the Bridget Jones actress when she exclaimed the movie star had "done something to her face".

Self-confessed diva Gemma, 38, lamented Renée, 50, had been "so gorgeous before... she transformed her face".

She said on The Gemma Collins Podcast : "I'm going to be honest here, she's done something to her face. I just want to see her in real life and say you were so gorgeous before why have you done this?

"She's an icon, I want to give her a hug and tell her she doesn't need to change. When she transformed her face, she doesn't feel like Bridget anymore."

Renée has always adamantly denied she had plastic surgery.

She set the record straight in a blog for The Huffington Post in 2016: "Not that it's anyone's business, but I did not make a decision to alter my face and have surgery on my eyes."

Speculation had been rife the Hollywood beauty had gone under the knife in 2014.

Reports claimed she looked dramatically different to when she first starred in Bridget Jones' Diary.

At the time, Renée attributed her "different" looks to living a "happy, more fulfilling life".

She told PEOPLE in 2014: "I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows.

"My friends say that I look peaceful. I am healthy. For a long time I wasn't doing such a good job with that. I took on a schedule that is not realistically sustainable and didn't allow for taking care of myself.

"Rather than stopping to recalibrate, I kept running until I was depleted and made bad choices about how to conceal the exhaustion. I was aware of the chaos and finally chosen different things."
