Gemma Collins ‘joining The Real Housewives of Cheshire’ after boyfriend James Argent apologises for fat shaming texts

Move over Essex, the GC could be on her way to Cheshire.

TOWIE star Gemma Collins is reportedly set for a move to The Real Housewives of Cheshire, according to Manchester Evening News.

A source told the publication that the former Dancing On Ice contestant has supposedly already filmed scenes for the show, which follows the lives of the wealthy women in the county.

Collins is supposedly only expected to make a string of guest appearances for the time being.

However, a source told the Standard that Collins is "just making a one-off cameo appearance."

Standard Online has contacted representatives of Collins for comment.

The comments come after her boyfriend James Argent broke his silence over sending fat shaming messages to her after she kicked him out of their Essex home for sharing a video of her snoring in bed on Instagram.

Argent said they had both said “nasty” comments, but that he “deeply regrets” telling the star she has “more rolls than Greggs” and other comments about her weight as he now weighs more than her.

“They were sent in the heat of the moment,” he told OK! “We were having a huge row because she was angry with me for posting the video of her snoring on social media. She’d kicked me out of her flat and things got nasty between us.”

He added that Collins “gave as good as she got.”

Despite the pair’s issues, Argent said he feels they could have a future together if they seek therapy.

“I want to spend my life with Gemma and I want us to have kids, but for that to happen we need to change the way we can be with each other,” he said.

“We haven’t spoken about it but I think it would be good for us to have some couples counselling if we do get back together.”
