Gemma Collins has been in tears training for Dancing on Ice in the wake of the fallout from her heated exchange with Jason Gardiner.
The opinionated pair clashed on Sunday night’s live show, which saw Gardiner brand Collins a “brat” after she repeatedly accused him of “selling stories” about her.
Collins' professional partner Matt Evers shared a behind-the-scenes video from their “emotional” training session on Thursday, telling fans they have been working hard to focus on the skating ahead of this weekend’s show.
“I'm very proud of Gemma this week we have put in extra time,” he said. “Her skating is coming along and we've taken on what the judges have said. I really hope you enjoy this next touring it's very emotional and means a lot to both of us.”
Collins can be seen skating over to Evers before revealing she has been in tears this week. “Absolutely been working my butt off - I'm mastering the steps,” she said. “There's been tears because I'm just so determined to get it right.”
Dancing on Ice fans were left divided after Sunday night's outburst, with 50 complaints made to Ofcom relating to Collins' comments, while 33 were made about Gardiner's remarks to Collins.
The TOWIE star, who was saved in the public vote, took aim at Gardiner after he criticised her performance for lacking “elegance” and claimed she needed to “up the anti because we’re not going to see any big lifts from you we’re not going to get any impressive moves”.
Collins fired back: “Can I just say one thing? Maybe if you didn’t sell stories on me, maybe I wouldn’t have been so upset this week. So take that. Boring. Next. Don’t sell stories on me. Please don’t sell stories on me.”
Gardiner broke his silence on Twitter to slam her “appalling behaviour” while reports claimed he is threatening to sue her.
A representative for Gardiner told Standard Online: “Gemma’s own skating partner Matt Evers has publicly apologised on Twitter for making the same false claims as Gemma that Jason ‘sold stories’.
“Jason gave an interview to promote Dancing On Ice with The Sun last week. Within this interview he was asked about Gemma Collins and all the contestants. He gave his opinion, that is all.”
