Gemma Collins helps people in need by slipping cash through their letterboxes

Gemma Collins has shared on a good deed she does to help people less fortunate than herself.

The TOWIE star, 38, no longer wishes to keep her goodwill gestures a secret as she lifted the lid on posting cash through letterboxes.

Proving she is a good Samaritan, the blonde detailed how she finds the recipients on social media and leaves them the money without them even knowing it was down to her.

"They never know it's from me. I just slip it through their door," she told the Daily Star .

"I don't have to know them directly, but if I know a family is struggling or if I see things on Facebook where a tragedy has happened then I'll go through various people and find out where they are, and that's what I like to do."

Gemma's openness about playing secret Santa comes as the bubbly businesswoman declared she'll be as as she embraces her spiritual side.

The reality personality insists she's sick of the holidays being so "consumer driven" and has decided she doesn't want her loved ones to buy her any gifts.

She's admitted she'll probably buy a present for her boyfriend James Argent, but doesn't want anything from him this year.

Speaking to the publication, Gemma explained: "This Christmas I actually want nothing.

"I have everything I want. I think Christmas is far too consumer-driven now- I'm very spiritual these days, so I actually don't want anything.

"I will probably buy Arg something but I personally don't need anything... Material possessions do not make you happy."

Gemma goes on to insist she'll be giving her loved ones the precious gift of her time this Christmas.

She added: "I think there's a lot of pressure on people at Christmas because everyone gets so stressed at this time of the year.
