Gemma Collins 'heckled and booed' during first night of GC's Big Night Out tour

Gemma Collins stepped out on stage last night for the first night of her GC's Big Night Out tour, but she ended up being heckled and booed.

The 41-year-old reality star kicked off her tour at the Manchester Opera House, but failed to sell out the event.

The show, which has been branded 'night of laughter and surprises', ended up being a little different to what The GC expected.

A member of the audience on the opening night exclusively told the Mirror that the TOWIE star used the first 10 minutes of the show to flog her merchandise.

"She then asked for audience questions but people kept heckling her or asking her to come on stage," the attendee said.

"Gemma also got booed for saying she likes Piers Morgan."

The reality star had previously promised fans that the tour would be "absolutely fabulous and the best night out".

It comes as it was revealed that Gemma didn't manage to sell out her big night out in Manchester.

The Opera House in Quay Street, Manchester, is a 1,920-seater commercial touring theatre.

Despite Gemma declaring that there were 2,000 people in attendance, The Mirror revealed that some members of the audience were moved due to empty seats.

It was reported last summer that the GC is set to set to rake in £250,000 from the tour- with a VIP meet and greet package having been sold at £113.

Her seven-date tour will see her performing in London, Cardiff, Newcastle, Birmingham, Glasgow and Southampton.

The TV personality will be a stage aficionado by the time she finishes her tour and begins her rehearsals for Chicago: The Musical.

Gemma Collins is said to be hoping her lucrative deal as prison governor Mama Morton in Chicago: The Musical will fund her lavish wedding (PA)

It was recently said that Gemma has signed a 'big pay cheque' to take over the role of prison governor Mama Morton from Sinitta at the end of May and will tour the UK with the production.

According to a source close to the star, Gemma is hoping the paycheque will help towards her dream wedding to Rami Hawash.

An insider told Closer Magazine: "It's no secret Gemma wants the glitziest, most extravagant wedding possible and, as her demands have continued, she's realised she needs to be pulling in some serious money to make that happen."

"Gemma loves to perform and feels this one last big thing before her and Rami get married.

"The big paycheque was an added motivation and will help pay for the lavish wedding she's planning."
