Gemma Collins has tyres 'slashed' and offers mechanic gifts at her boutique despite money woes

Gemma Collins has revealed her car tyres were 'slashed' outside of the London department store Harrods.

The GC, 39, had taken her niece and nephew on a shopping trip but they were left stranded when the tyres burst had to be rescued by the AA.

Gemma documented the ordeal on Instagram and showered the mechanic who came to her rescue with praise.

The generous reality star urged the man - who she revealed was called Sid - to call at her Essex boutique and pick out some perfume on the house.

Gemma's offer comes only a day after it was reported she has been banned from being a company director for three years after her business owed over £70K in tax.

The Insolvency Service began an investigation into her financial affairs after she put her company Gemma Collins Boutique Limited into liquidation in 2017.

HMRC say the Brentwood-based business owed £71,745 in respect of VAT when it closed.

But it seems Gemma's financial troubles aren't playing on her mind, as she offered the mechanic to come to her shop and get some perfume for his partner.

Recalling the ordeal on social media, Gemma told her followers: "What a place for the tyres to burst - right outside Harrods! "

She told the mechanic: "You've been amazing! Do you know what, I've got to say, the AA are amazing!

"Every time, they're so happy to help, their staff are fantastic!"

The gushing star added: "Big up to the AA! Big round of applause, kids! Thank you, I love you! Bring your missus to my shop, I'll sort you out some perfume!"

Turning the camera to driver Sid, the GC said: "Sid, talk us through what happened."

"I dropped Gemma and the kids off to a restaurant..." he began, "We got back to the car, had to get somewhere in a rush, and then the tyres were slashed.

"Not good. I haven't had a good look, but it looked cut. It could've been I hit a curb, could have been anything, so not good, but the AA came out and saved us."
