Gemma Collins eyes up Dancing With The Stars in US to get revenge after Strictly snub

Gemma Collins is gunning for a place on the US show Dancing With The Stars, to try to get revenge on Strictly Come Dancing, according to reports.

Reality star Gemma, 39, has never been booked for Strictly as she is reportedly deemed too Z-list.

So instead, she is setting her sights on Dancing With The Stars, which has seen the likes of Nicole Scherzinger, Bindi Irwin, and Adam Rippon win in previous years.

It is judged by Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough, and past Strictly judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonlioni.

A source told The Sun : “Gemma would love to have another crack at the US. The Americans loved her when she made a cameo in Orange is the New Black and bookers on Dancing with the Stars have shown an interest.

“Gemma’s schedule is always jam-packed and it’s difficult for this year but the team in the US are keen to secure her for 2021.”

MirrorOnline has reached out to a rep for Gemma for comment.

Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood slated TOWIE royalty Gemma when he was asked why she had not taken part in the show.

He said they usually go for celebrities of a "higher calibre" in a 2017 interview.

Gemma did not take kindly to his words, and responded, telling The Sun: “I find his comment funny. I’m not low rent, Craig. We’ve all got to start somewhere and it’s a shame to just knock someone out of giving them a chance because they don’t think I’m high calibre enough.

“Well I’m sorry I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth but I get 2.2 million hits on my social media. Where did he start?

“If anything, I’d probably bring a different audience to the BBC. It’ll be called the BGC by the time I’ve finished with rumba-ing it up.”
