Gemma Collins is reportedly set to embark on a musical career in the United States with the help of her new friend, producer Naughty Boy.
The former Dancing On Ice contestant will supposedly fly out to America next month to commence filming on a six-part reality series.
The Sun reports that the show, which is said to start pre-production this week, will “follow her journey as she tries to crack America” with the help of Naughty Boy, who has previously worked with the likes of Beyonce, Sam Smith and Emili Sande.
Collins’ skating partner Matt Evers will reportedly also feature in the show when the GC visits his home city of Los Angeles.
Standard Online has contacted representatives for Collins and for Naughty Boy for further comment.
The TOWIE diva struck up an unexpected friendship with Naughty Boy, real name Shahid Khan, at the BRIT Awards last month, and has since shared clips of them hanging out together on her Instagram account.
She teased her musical ambitions in an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show last weekend, when she told the chat show host: “Do you know Naughty Boy, who [has] done Running with Beyoncé? He wants to make a track with me.
“I met him at the BRITs, it’s all going ahead.”
The producer then appeared to confirm the news by tweeting a clip of him watching Collins on the show, captioning it: “Oh it’s happening @missgemcollins has a beautiful voice… watch this space people.. #2019 #ballad #christmasno1.”
Collins alluded to her “exciting” future plans in an interview with This Morning correspondent Kem Cetinay on Monday.
She told the former Love Islander that she was “off to LA baby,” and hinted: “There’s lots of exciting things to come and do you know what, doing [Dancing On Ice] has been the best thing I ever did.”
Earlier this week, reports suggested that the GC is in talks to put her vocal talents to good use on the forthcoming celebrity version of the X Factor.
