Gemma Collins has revealed she "didn't sleep for days" when her dad was in hospital with coronavirus.
The Towie star said during an Instagram Live interview with Sassy Shop Wax on Friday: "My dad was really unwell – you can see how tired I am. I literally haven't slept. Because he was in hospital I was just so worried all the time.'
"It's only really now that I'm catching up on my sleep."
Rubbing her face with emotion, she added: He's out of hospital, I don't need to worry. It's only really now he's home I can start getting everything back together again."
Gemma's 73-year-old dad Alan is now back home from hospital after his battle with the virus.
The star, who celebrates a milestone birthday on Sunday, said it was the only present she wanted.
She said: "I couldn't ask for any more. I turn 40 on Sunday. Yes, I've got bags under my eyes but my dad is alive.
"I'm able to eat a piece of cake with him."
Speaking on her BBC podcast earlier in the week, Gemma shared her relief.
"My dad comes home this week, so it's the best birthday I could wish for," she delightedly told listeners.
"Yes, I can’t have the party that was planned. I had arranged so many singers to come to a venue I booked last year.
"That's not going to happen but it doesn’t matter because my dad has survived Covid."
