Gemma Collins' dad told her to stop fillers so she wouldn't 'look like a man'

Essex is famous for its frozen faces and fillers, but Gemma Collins is going au naturale after her dad said she was having so much work done she looked like a man.

It’s never PC when it comes to the GC.

Since turning 40, the TOWIE star has decided to embrace her natural beauty.

She said: “When I hit 40 I became so much more confident. It’s sad that so many young people think pumped-up lips, big cheeks and masculine-looking chins represent beauty.”

Gemma previously spent £8,000 having work on her face as well as £2k on a designer vagina.

She told Best magazine: “I got carried away. It’s very easy when you are seeing something around you and on social media. You start thinking, ‘I need my cheeks bigger, my lips done’. But I got to 40, looked in the mirror and thought, ‘Nah, I need to go back to how I looked before’.

“So I got my fillers dissolved, I have no Botox – I can move my whole face. I feel so much better.”

Her dad’s reaction to a picture of the old Gemma was a wake-up call.

She said: “He was like, ‘Gemma you look like a man. You look awful. You’ve got a big manly jaw but you’re a woman’. It was true.

“I don’t mind a few wrinkles. They got me where I am today.”

Gemma was born to dad Alan and mother Joan Collins in Romford, East London, in 1981.

The TOWIE legend has an older brother named Russell whom she is very close to.
