Gemma Collins has confirmed that she is heading to Los Angeles for some “exciting” work projects.

The reality star revealed her plans to head across the Atlantic in an interview with This Morning, following her return to the rink for last night’s Dancing On Ice live final.

“I’m off to LA baby,” she told presenter Kem Cetinay, before adding that she was “going to meet up with” her skating partner Matt Evers when she is “out there.”

When Cetinay asked her whether she would be “working” on the trip, she answered in the affirmative, explaining: “There’s lots of exciting things to come and do you know what, doing [Dancing On Ice] has been the best thing I ever did.”

The 38-year-old previously opened up about her intentions to visit LA for the first time in an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, which aired on Saturday.

“I’ve never been to LA. [I’m going there] the cameras want to be on me the minute I touch down in LA, to follow me having a go at [making a career in America],” she said.

She said that her “intuition” was pointing in the direction of the Californian city, telling Ross: “I follow my intuition and last weekend when I was in Paris Oprah Winfrey was there, this top florist called Jeff [Leatham] who does all the flowers for the Kardashians.

“I’m really good friends with Jonathan Cheban, Chris Pratt was asked in an interview [about me]. The minute I saw Oprah Winfrey in this hotel at the weekend, I thought ‘I’m going to America.’

“My intuition always guide me to the right place. I want to travel the world.”

Earlier today, reports suggested that Collins is in talks to appear on a new celebrity version of The X Factor.

“We want big and exciting stars and The GC is popular and we reckon she makes entertaining viewing,” a source close to the show told the Daily Star.

“More important, she can sing. Simon [Cowell] has handled many divas over the years with the likes of Sharon Osbourne and Mel B, she we reckon he will be able to deal with this Essex one.”
