Gemma Collins cancels gig 'over fears James Argent will turn up and try to seduce her'

Gemma Collins has pulled out of an upcoming gig in Spain, with sources claiming the decision was made over fears James Argent will also show up in attempt to win her back.

The Essex diva kicked her on-off beau to the kerb earlier this month after Arg called her a 'hippo' and a 'fat f***' in a series of mean messages.

Since the split a newly single Gemma, 39, hasn't looked back and was said to be looking forward to flying out to Marbella this week to appear at a special Diva Night.

The glamorous evening was being hosted by Mark Wright's cousin Elliot who had invited Gemma to join in the fun but she's now too concerned to attend.

A source told The Sun that Gemma was worried about Arg - who is a regular on the Spanish club scene - showing up and causing a fuss.

However, in a lengthy Instagram post Gemma blamed her no-show on travel fears surrounding the coronavirus pandemic as she updated fans on the situation.

"I am so sorry but due to the latest expected travel advice I am so gutted to not be able to host the evening," she admitted.

"I have imminent filming commitments and have been advised by health and safety that it would be best to stay in the UK for now.

"I was so excited for this night and I was really looking forward to having a good boogie and a drink!" she said.

To hammer home her point to disappointed fans, Gemma then shared numerous links to articles about a spike in Spanish cases of Covid-19.

While she couldn't travel to sunny Spain today, Gemma did make the best of the good weather at home by up a pool party in Essex.

Gemme revealed that she'd stopped by at her nephew's bash where she proceed to steal the show.

The fun-loving star was looking extremely body confident as she sauntered around the garden in a strapless swimsuit before joining the celebrations in true GC style bombing into the pool.

After commanding attention with her antics, Gemma was happy to be filmed on Instagram in her swimwear after losing three stone in the past year.
