Gemma Collins accused of FAKING Dancing on Ice fall as Matt Evers slams trolls: ‘Absolutely planned!’

Gemma Collins has been accused of faking her epic tumble on Dancing on Ice, with many claiming it was a publicity stunt.

The TOWIE star, 37, stumbled and face planted the ice as she reached the climax of her routine with Matt Evers on Sunday night.

Collins was left in tears after she was helped back up to finish the dance, before later showing off her heavily bruised knees.

But some fans were unconvinced and called into question the legitimacy of her tumble, claiming a slowed down video shows her bending forwards before sliding onto her front.

“Absolutely planned! Pretending to drop the diva act, pretending to try really hard and then falls and cries,” tweeted one. “Once again she dominates the headlines, not those doing headbangers in week 3!”

Another posted: “Gemma Collins fall was more fake than her personality! She didn’t try to balance herself, didn’t wobble one bit, just straight down! Whoever bought that s*** – WAKE UP!”

A third wrote: “Don’t watch dancing on ice but I watched enough wrestling growing up to know that Gemma Collins fall was fake as f***! She fell for attention (sic).”

Others defended the star with one telling critics to “get a grip”.

“How do u fake face planting on the ice it must off hurt c’mon surely there’s more conspiracy theory worthy stories then Gemma Collins falling on the ice get a grip people,” they wrote.

Another posted: “First of all her leg shook before she fell while trying to keep balance, secondly I bet half of you can't ice skate yourselves & thirdly have some respect & grow up!”

The latest accusations came as Evers leapt to Collins’ defence after she received a barrage of abuse online, with one viewer branding her a “narcissistic dullard” and a “poor role model for anyone with a shred of decency in them”.

Evers clapped back: “So unlikeable? Really. A few million followers isn’t unlikeable. Plus… She is a role model for many larger sized woman. When men (you) hate on women... they have issues.”

In response to another critic who accused her of not being able to skate, he wrote: “Let’s see you try and skate a left outside three turn, right Mohawk and a right inside three turn... I’m the expert here and she’s skating.”

To another he tweeted: “Wash your mouth out with soap. It’s dirty and stinks. Watch out for karma.”

Collins received 16.5, her highest score to date for her routine to Celine Dion’s ballad, It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.

Dancing on Ice is on ITV, Sunday at 6pm
