Former Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson says she up for making a comeback to the Channel Four soap.
Gemma, who played troubled Lisa Hunter in the long-running show, has teased a possible return for her character 15 years after she left the famous TV village.
The character featured in some big plotlines, most memorably her harrowing self-harm story which is currently re-airing on E4 this week while the show is off our screens because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to the Mirror online, Gemma said she would return to the Chester-based soap.
The actress from Bury, who hosts the drivetime show on the Manchester-based Hits Radio, said: "I would always return to Hollyoaks.
"It’s because of that show I’m where I am today and have been able to do so much stuff since.
"It was my platform, my learning curve into the acting world and I’m so grateful to them.
"I couldn't do it long term as I love my job hosting the drive time show for Hits Radio.
"We broadcast nationally across the UK but from Manchester so I get to be at home which I love, but I'm sure Lisa could pop back for a few weeks to cause some havoc in the village."
The mum-of-one, who left Hollyoaks in 2005, then starred in the spin-off shows Hollyoaks: Let Loose and Hollyoaks: In The City.
She went on to play paramedic Tamzin Bayle in the BBC drama Casualty and Carly Hope in the ITV soap Emmerdale.
"I still get so many people mentioning Hollyoaks!" she said.
"It’s crazy, the older generation mention Strictly or Emmerdale to me but people my age always remind me that their Sunday mornings were all about Hollyoaks and they loved it.
"I've had a few 'weren't you Lisa in Hollyoaks!' comments.
"It’s flattering in a way they still remember after 13 years."
Gemma previously said she's pleased that the self harm storyline about bullied schoolgirl Lisa may help others the second time around by raising awareness of the subject.
"I'm really happy about this because when we shot the storyline back then it helped a lot of people and that was before social media," she told her followers on Instagram.
"The impact was great then and I'm hoping the second time around people who need help or anyone struggling with self or know someone who is can hopefully take something from it and get help as well."
